The Role

Technology underpins how we deliver exceptional experiences to our clients. As a Software Test Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the systems and tools used across the business are reliable, intuitive and robust. By working closely with developers, business teams and external partners, you’ll help us deliver high‑quality software that supports both our internal teams and the client journey. Your work will contribute directly to improving user experience and strengthening the way we operate.

Key Responsibilities Include

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Design, develop and execute manual and automated test cases aligned to business and technical requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document and track defects using approved tools, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
  • Validate fixes, perform retesting and maintain accurate defect status updates.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and opportunities for improvement.  

Documentation & Technical Insight

  • Develop and maintain test plans, scripts and reports to support clear, consistent delivery.
  • Review specifications, requirements and designs to identify test conditions early.  
  • Contribute to user experience, performance and usability discussions.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, analysts and project teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Participate in project meetings, contributing insight from a testing perspective.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and enhancing testing frameworks.
  • Help evolve QA processes and champion best practice across the organisation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience testing software in a practical, hands‑on environment (typically 1+ year).
  • Understanding of the software engineering lifecycle, particularly testing and integration.
  • Ability to write clear, concise test cases and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD processes.
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages to support automated testing.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. 
  • A collaborative approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and aligned to our cultural values.

Desirable experience includes working in technical or engineering environments and exposure to building software installers.
